SILENT AUCTION DONATIONS

The Chicago Pipe Show has a proud and long-standing tradition of hosting a Silent Auction, one of the most anticipated fundraising events of the weekend. Your donations play a vital role in supporting the show and helping fund next year’s event. We truly appreciate your generosity and ongoing support. Donations may be dropped off at the registration desk or the silent auction area. A silent auction allows guests to bid privately on displayed items by writing their bids on paper. Attendees can browse the tables at their own pace during the event. When bidding closes, the highest bidder wins the item.

ABOUT THE CPCC SILENT AUCTION

The CPCC Silent Auction has been part of the Chicagoland International Pipe Show since its earliest years. All proceeds directly support the continuation and growth of the show. Contributions come from our generous club members, gracious vendors, and loyal attendees. The auction runs all day Saturday and Sunday until 2:00 p.m. The success of this event depends entirely on donations and participation—so please join in by contributing and bidding!

AUCTION FORMAT

  • The auction is managed by dedicated volunteers who keep the process running smoothly.
  • Each auction table holds no more than ten items.
  • Alternating tables close every 90 minutes, then are reset with new items for continued bidding.
  • Winning items are bagged and can be paid for immediately or bundled for end-of-day payment.
  • Payments are accepted by cash, check, or credit card.
  • Once a table closes, no further bids are accepted on those items.
  • Any unclaimed items will be relisted for new bids.

SPECIAL HIGHLIGHTS

  • High-value items will be displayed on tables that remain open until the end of each day’s auction.
  • Battle of the Briar Competition Pipes will have their own dedicated table. This table closes Saturday at the end of the auction.
  • People’s Choice Voting for the Battle of the Briar pipes takes place Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., allowing attendees to vote for the People’s Choice Best of Show.
