Silent Auction Day 1 – Chicago Pipe Show 2024
April 13 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
The silent auction is sponsored by the CPPC, and all proceeds aid in the funding of next year’s International Pipe and Tobacco Show. This annual event wouldn’t be possible without the generous donations from CPPC club members and vendors.
All items will be supplied with bid sheets where the bidders will enter their name and bid amount. Note that there are bid minimums that need to be adhered to.
Each table in the auction will contain as a maximum of ten items. The tables will be closing a set times so that new items can be put up on display to be auctioned off. The closing times will be posted and announced at the show. The closed table(s) will have all their items cleared and bagged with the name of the winning bidder and reset with new items for bidding, until the end of the auction.
All sales will be paid at the end of the silent auction via an announcement when all the tallying has been completed. The tables will be closed every 90 minutes, Saturday – from 11:30a until 4p and Sunday – from 11:30a until 1p, and this is dependent upon the number of items donated for the auction.
Payments will be handled as they have been in the past – cash, check (with proper credentials) or credit card. Once the payment step has been completed the bidder will receive their purchased items.
One note for the bidders – please make sure your name is clearly legible, it helps in the processing of the items, causes less confusion (so that all items go to the appropriate bidder), and assist in checking out.
The Battle of the Briar pipes will be open for bidding and voting on Saturday. Voting for People’s Choice will take place from 9a until 1p. Bidding for the pipes will take place from 9a until 4p.
