THE 2017 CHICAGO PIPE SHOW WILL CELEBRATE THE LIFE OF CPCC PRESIDENT MICHAEL W. RESCHKE, DOCTOR OF PIPES.

THERE WILL BE TWO PIPE MAKING SEMINARS ON WEDNESDAY May 3 & THURSDAY May 4. ONE WILL BE OUR 2 DAY PIPE FINISHING SEMINAR, WITH LEE ERCK, JOE NELSON, MIKE BUTERA AND OTHERS. WE WILL ALSO HAVE A SEPARATE TWO DAY COURSE IN MEERSCHAUM PIPE MAKING WITH TURKISH CARVER  ISMAIL CELEBI. (THERE IS A PRE-REGISTRATION AND CHARGE FOR BOTH PIPEMAKING SEMINARS)

ON THURSDAY MAY 4TH WE EXPECT TO HAVE AN ALL DAY TOBACCO BLENDING SEMINAR IN THE TENT. THE INTERNATIONAL CHARATAN COLLECTORS SOCIETY WILL MEET AT 4PM ON THURSDAY (MEMBERS AND COLLECTORS ONLY PLEASE), AND AT 5PM THE SOCIETY OF DUNHILL PIPE SMOKERS WILL MEET.

ON FRIDAY MAY 5TH, THE *SWAP AND SMOKE* (BUY/SELL/TRADE EVENT) WILL START AT 8AM AND RUN UNTIL 4PM. WITH MORE THAN 80 VENDORS THIS IS ONE OF THE LARGEST PIPE SHOWS IN THE USA, AND IT IS FREE TO BOTH BUYERS AND SELLERS. WE WILL HAVE OUR CHAMPAGNE SHOPPING TOUR TO THE PREMIUM OUTLET MALL ALL DAY FRIDAY.  TOBACCIANA SEMINARS AND A LADIES’ CRAFT PROGRAM ARE HELD ON FRIDAY EVENING.  THE FREE FRIDAY EVENING WELCOME DINNER FOR 600 OF OUR WORLDWIDE GUESTS WILL BEGIN AT 7 PM. THE MUCH ANTICIPATED FATHER OF THE FLAME WILL BE PUBLICALLY SHOWN FOR THE FIRST TIME AT 9PM.

ON SATURDAY MAY 6TH THE SHOW OPENS TO THE PUBLIC AT 10AM. WE HAVE OVER 330 SHOW EXHIBITOR TABLES SOLDOUT FOR OUR SHOW.  THERE IS A WAITING LIST FOR THOSE STILL WANTING EXHIBITOR TABLES.  IN ADDITION TO THOUSANDS OF PIPES, PIPE TOBACCO AND CIGARS WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE, AND A CIGAR ROLLER WILL BE MAKING CIGARS AT THE SHOW.

WE WILL ONCE AGAIN HAVE OUR GREAT SATURDAY SILENT AUCTION WHICH DIRECTLY BENEFITS THE SHOW AND PROVIDES GREAT PIPES, TOBACCO AND ACCESSORIES TO BIDDERS.

OUR SATURDAY EVENING CPCC CHICAGO FEAST WILL BE A NEW EVENT REPLACING THE PIPE AND CIGAR BANQUET. THIS EVENT FEATURES A SELECTION OF ENTRÉES AT GREAT PRICES. SEE BELOW FOR SELECTIONS AND ORDERING INFORMATION.

THE DOCTOR OF PIPES AND MASTER OF PIPES AWARDS WILL BE PRESENTED AT THE CHICAGO FEAST.

THERE WILL BE A 6000 SQUARE TENT FOR SMOKING PIPES AND CIGARS, WITH FOOD AND DRINK AVAILABLE, FROM 1PM WEDNESDAY OF THE SHOW WEEK TO EARLY MONDAY MORNING, NEXT TO THE MEGA CENTER.

THE FIRST CHICAGO FEAST

THERE ARE BIG CHANGES AND CHOICES IN OUR 2017 SATURDAY NIGHT BANQUET, AND ALL CHOICES ARE LESS EXPENSIVE THAN LAST YEAR.

MENU

SALAD AND BREAD:

Field greens salad: romaine, California iceberg and baby greens garnished with English cucumbers, tear drop tomatoes and julienne vegetables with selection of Ranch or Italian dressing.

Chef’s selection of hearth baked breads and rolls served with creamery butter.

MAIN COURSE SELECTIONS AVAILABLE:

Roasted Prime Rib of Beef (8 oz.)  served with natural Au Jus and creamy horseradish sauce. $48.00

Chicken Alexandra – pan seared and brushed with honey mustard and crusted in pecans, walnuts and sun dried cranberries, set on sautéed baby spinach with calvados buerre blanc. $45.00

Salmon Americana – pan seared and topped with shrimp and scallops with lobster creme. $45.00

Roasted Vegetable Pasta – portobello mushrooms, zucchini, asparagus, baby bok choy and grilled artichokes nestled on a bed of pappardelle pasta. Complimented with a sun dried tomato asiago broth. $40.00

DESSERT:

Alternating settings of flourless chocolate cake and New York cheesecake with raspberry infusion in a graham cracker crust.

Coffee, decaf/instant coffee, tea and iced tea.

A cash bar will be available. Everyone attending the dinner will be entered in a drawing for a box of fine cigars donated by five dinner sponsors.

Please make you dinner selections in advance. For those who have already paid for dinner, partial refunds will be made when you make your selection for The Chicago Feast. Please understand that this year we are pricing the dinners at the net price to the Show for every dinner served, so as to make this dinner affordable for all. Also, we have eliminated appetizers and bottles of wine on the table, both of which previously increased the price to all, but were not enjoyed by all.
